Meet the premier builder of Saltbox Homes Kingston RI: Early New England Homes. The iconic Saltbox style colonial home is a familiar sight all over New England. Classic New England colonials never go out of style. Our beautiful post and beam homes are meticulously fashioned after 18th century New England houses that grace the countryside. Our homes are a welcome addition to Washington County Rhode Island.
We work closely with local builders to recreate the layout and style of these exceptional houses. Each home is fully customized to fit each client’s needs. Imagine building your own beautiful center chimney saltbox. Early New England Homes furnishes plans and precut kits that rival any 18th Century New England Saltbox you might find on the village green. Our Early New England Saltbox is graced with the same beautiful lines found on those classic saltbox homes.
Our beautiful colonial saltbox houses are 2095 square feet in area, and we can include an added ell, wing or farmer’s porch. The home kits are precut post and beam timber framed buildings. What is unique about our homes is the Options Package. We have hand planed beadboard paneling and beaded wainscoting. Beaded window and door trim, pre-hung 4-panel doors, board & batten doors and a storm door option are available. Wide board flooring and baseboards are a perfect fit in these saltbox homes. Complete the effect with our fireplace mantels and hand-forged interior hardware.
The first floor of our saltbox is as spacious and open as our cape and the saltbox roof affords more space on the second floor for larger bedrooms. To whet your appetite, why not take a look at our Saltbox page. Call us at (860) 643-1148 and we can help plan your dream home today.
